What happens if I need to go to the bathroom during the procedure? 

Answer 1: The IV infuses a lot of liquid, and the longer the procedure lasts the more liquid is infused. At the end of my procedure, I needed to urinate but was required to remain immobile for an hour. I requested a catheter, which prevented me from having any accidents.

Answer 2:  As a man, rather than having a catheter inserted, just prior to the procedure I was hooked up to a condom catheter.  It felt strange though, so I didn’t actually use it.  I just “held it” until I was able to use a bathroom.
